Every year there is a national event to raise money for the preservation of historic churches & chapels all over England. The churches all open their doors for visitors to come & look at our historic old buildings.
The idea of the event is to raise sponsorship money (or make a donation) & visit as many churches as you like – on foot, horse-back or by cycling. The money raised is split equally between the Hampshire & the Islands Historic Churches Trust & your local (nominated) church.
This year the event is on Saturday 10th September 10-6pm. It’s a great way to spend a couple of hours walking/cycling/horseriding round the beautiful churches of our villages.
Jules Ursell and family visited Amport, Quarley, Grateley & Monxton churches last year & will be doing the same again this year. They would love some company for all or part of it!
Let Jules know if you’re interested – she has sponsorship forms & information packs – but more information can be found on the website below. juliet.grieve@mindmover.co.uk
