11.45 pm Suspiciously similar lorry as 23rd August post seen, heard and felt thundering up the hill towards Grateley.
There have been several others recently, and the pace seems to be picking up again, although it is increasingly hard to differentiate, as Green Lane seem to be now well established as a main HGV route since the ” gates to hell” were opened at Red Post Bridge.
There is also considerable recent damage to the grass verge outside Pilhill Lodge.
The police continue to monitor speed at at the safest stretch of road, thus aggravating the ” speed up at the crossroads”, syndrome.
What is the point of campaigning for better signage, when many of the existing ones remain buried in the hedgerows, and warning/direction signs on the road surface are poorly maintained and worn away?
Has the Parish Council been shown any recent figures from the HCC`s laughably inaccurate monitoring system?
Despite the hard work and efforts of the Parish Council, the situation has become much, much worse in the past 6 months.
