Andover Business Park HGV Violations

We have the figures from the Traffic Monitoring Department at Hampshire County Council for the number of lorries and HGVs that have come down Monxton Road, instead of going to the Business Park. This data has been gathered from the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) systems that are on our roads.

The Coop opened in Q3 of 2012, hence the highest number of violations. However, there has been a slow increase in the last quarter, so we need to be vigilant and keep the pressure on the Coop.

Interesting figures. However, and following my question to Pat West at the AGM, how many of these violations were detected during the hours of darkness? Or put another way is the system picking up violations during the hours of darkness?

  2. As far as I am aware the ANPR system works 24/7, but I shall double check. Sarah (MPC)

Interesting statistics as it is only Tuesday, is it just monitoring CO-OP lorries as I have seen 3 lorries (not CO-OP)already this week and this is only by a chance look out of my window. today’s number was CE52 CLR. I will try to be more observant.

  4. The ANPR cameras are designed to work 24 hours a day and having just checked back through the violation report TVBC can confirm this is definitely the case as number plates have been matched as early (or as late) as 1.00am in the morning.

  5. The ANPR is just monitoring vehicles that should be heading to the Coop distribution centre – not all vehicles/lorries.

Sarah I didn’t give you the right informations of these lorries 1 turned at Cattle lane (the viaduct road) and 2 turned at Sunnybank and went back up the road towards the business park. The marks from these lorries at Cattle Lane and Sunnybank on the verges are witness to my observations perhaps we should also include Sunnybank for Bollards.?
