VILLAGE HALL: PLANNING APPLICATION FOR DEMOLITION AND ERECTION OF REPLACEMENT VILLAGE HALL
Following comments on the planning application updated drawings have been submitted to show less glass and more privacy for hall users. The extra cladding on the east (road) elevation allows for an improved layout of the hall, with the more private hall area (which we envisage will be used for meetings, classes etc) to be at the rear of the building. The community area, which will hopefully incorporate a cafe/meeting area, will be to the front (road side) of the building.
Sliding shutters have been added to the south elevation, overlooking the paddock, which will allow shading or privacy to be altered as required by users.
The full planning application and drawings can be seen online here and enter the planning reference: 20/00807/FULLN
Please do add your comments and also please note that the more letters of support there are the better the prospects of winning a CIL (Community Infrastructure Levy) and other grants.

It looks excellent and fits well within its wider surroundings. The design, externals and clever use of flexible internal space will be a tremendous asset to the local community. I can’t wait for work to start.
