Hampshire County Council – Coronavirus Pandemic

Any resident in need of urgent support during the coronavirus pandemic can contact Hampshire’s dedicated helpline – HantsHelp4Vulnerable.  The Coronavirus Hampshire Helpline can be contacted on 0333 370 4000 and is available seven days a week, from 9am-5pm.

Those with more complex, social care needs are directed to the County Council’s specialist support team, whilst others requiring urgent access to food, basic supplies, medication and social contact are referred to one of Hampshire’s district-based Local Response Centres.

Based in the heart of Hampshire’s communities, the Local Response Centres bring together local council and voluntary sector professionals with volunteers to coordinate support at a neighbourhood level. They are working closely with local supermarkets and charities, including foodbanks.

Dog Mess

Further to the post regarding dog mess on the village green it has been made clear this is a problem in other areas of the village, The Church Yard, the track at Sunny bank and Monxton Track have all been highlighted.

Please can all dog owners be responsible, clear up dog waste wherever you are in the village and dispose of this in the bins provided.

Thank you

Monxton Parish Council.

Dog Walkers

Dog mess is a serious health hazard and if you are a dog owner, you have a legal duty to clean up every time your dog fouls in a public place.

There are marked dog bins provided in the village to dispose of bags of dog mess.  If you cannot find one, please take your dog bag home and dispose of it in an ordinary household black bin.

It is an offence not to clean up dog mess and if residents want the Village Green and footpaths to continue to be cut, dog walkers must pick up their dog’s mess.  If residents see anyone allowing their dogs to foul the Village Green or the footpaths,  please report it to the Parish Clerk, Heather Bourner e-mail heather.bourner@googlemail.com

VILLAGE MAINTENANCE

Due to social distancing rules, we request that residents do not go to the Village Green during this time.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Keep safe.

April Parish Magazine

The April edition has been printed but the safe distribution is not easy to achieve and stay within the Government guidelines regarding our movements at this time.

The boxes of magazines have been delivered and remained outside in a car-port for 48 hours thereby hopefully allowing any virus present to be destroyed: subsequent distribution cannot be safely achieved by asking distributors to hand deliver all copies…..so we have decided to place all copies in the bus shelter (Monday March 30th) alongside what was the Black Swan car park where individuals (ie those who have already paid the annual subscription fee)  can collect their own copy and get some exercise in doing so!
